Students’ perception of science: results from the first year of the project
The following reports contain a preliminary analysis of students’ perceptions of science, obtained from the surveys delivered to students participating in PERFORM during the first year of implementation. These reports were created to be shared with the participating schools and teachers, as a preliminary return of results. As such, they provide an overview of the questions present in the survey, the methodology of analysis and the trends in students’ responses in each school in each country, before and after the workshops. However, these results are not analysed and triangulated with the rest of data sources (interviews, focus groups, observations) and thus, they provide an incomplete picture that should be interpreted with caution. A more complete overview of the results of the assessment will be returned to participants once the analysis of the project is finished. A team of the project is currently working on a policy brief that will contain the main conclusions of the analysis of data collected within the two years of implementation of the project.

How to develop workshops to listen to the students’ voices
The PERFORM project team developed structured workshops to collect students’ perceptions on specific topics related to STEM. The documents contain practical instructions and reflections on the more suitable ways of learn to listen to students ideas, expectations and visions in order to structure didactic activities. The information collected through these workshops are the base to develop participatory forms of Performances that are PERSEIAs as they are called in the PERFORM project.
